Camberwell

Clear family law advice.
A practical way forward.

Family law is the only work this firm does, for clients in Camberwell and across Melbourne and Victoria.

How we work

Resolve matters without unnecessary conflict. Prepare properly when court action is required.

Clear advice
You are told where you stand in plain terms, including the parts that are not in your favour. Guessing costs more than knowing.
Careful preparation
Matters settle on the strength of the material behind them. The work goes in early, whether or not it ends up in front of a judge.
Direct access to your lawyer
You deal with Ben or Troy. Your matter is not handed down to someone you have never spoken to.

The firm

Who you will be dealing with

Ben Vincent and Troy Broussard co-founded the firm.

Ben Vincent, Accredited Specialist in Family Law

Family lawyer and co-founder

Ben Vincent

Accredited Specialist in Family Law

Ben’s view is that most family law matters go wrong for one of two reasons: the client was never told plainly what the realistic range of outcomes was, or the groundwork was not done early enough to settle on decent terms. He works on both from the first conversation.

Troy Broussard, family lawyer and co-founder

Family lawyer and co-founder

Troy Broussard

Troy knows that for many people, seeing a family lawyer is something they never expected to do. He keeps his advice clear and practical, and takes the time to make sure clients understand their options.

What happens next

Three steps, no obligation to continue

  1. Tell us what is happening

A short summary of your situation is enough to start. You do not need documents, dates or legal language.

  2. Speak with a family lawyer

Before that conversation we run a conflict check. It is standard, and it protects both sides.

  3. Know what your options are

You leave with the realistic options and the next action, whether or not you engage us.

Legal Aid

Victoria Legal Aid Section 29A panel firm

That means the firm can act for clients whose family law matters are funded by Victoria Legal Aid. Whether you qualify for a grant of aid is decided by Victoria Legal Aid against their own criteria, not by this firm. We can tell you how the process works and what to expect.

The section 102NA scheme

The firm also acts under the Commonwealth Family Violence and Cross-Examination of Parties Scheme under section 102NA. It applies where a party in a family law matter cannot personally cross-examine, or be cross-examined by, the other party, and legal representation is required for that part of the hearing.
